We have been working on this for about 6 weeks now. She will be portraying Laura Bush, and she will have to say: "I am Laura Bush a former librarian and teacher, one of my concerns as first lady will be national literacy, I want to promote programs for adults and children. To ensure that all Americans have opportunities to read successfully" She is really excited and has been counting down the days. I was really surprised at how fast she learned her speech, I really thought it was going to be a struggle. I will post pictures, hopefully tomorrow!!! I was also impressed that she had to learn 10 songs, one being all the states, and she recites all 50 states in alphabetical order. I couldn't do that till I was in middle school, I am been amazed at what they expect of kindergarteners.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6639491395024970605.post-77831129473264652592008-02-18T23:08:00.002-06:002008-02-18T23:15:42.301-06:00A Wonderful Way to thinkSomeone e-mail this to me, and I printed it out and taped it to my monitor, and I need to have one for my fridge and the car also.
it says:
In Happy moments, PRAISE GOD
In Difficult moments, SEEK GOD
In Quiet moments, WORSHIP GOD
In Painful moments, TRUST GOD
In Every moment, THANK GOD

you know as you go through your day you sometimes lose focus of this, and I need to put this in places that will remind me that GOD is in control, and that everything will ultimately be for HIM.

This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalms 118:24Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6639491395024970605.post-6375667639942119012008-02-18T18:32:00.003-06:002008-02-18T21:07:50.166-06:00Ready for the Kids to go back to SchoolOk, I love my kids, but when you spend. Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun and Mon with them without a break, it gets hard. Because they are so use to being at school, and having a lot of activities to keep them busy. I did not plan for this many "snow days". They were bored by Friday, and were tired of all of their toys. We went outside for a little while, but then Reagan started whizzing, and we had to go in. We spent most of the morning on Saturday at the doctors office, to find out, that they finally diagnosed her with full asthma (they were saying it was seasonal) gave her 4 RX, and off to Walmart we went to find out that one of the prescriptions totaled over $200.00. by this time it was 1:30, the girls were whinning because they were hungry. We finally got home, eat lunch, and we all decided to have a nap. Sunday we skipped church because Reagan still wasn't feeling well, she woke up scared because she couldn't see, because her eyes were matted together, so I got a warm rag and took care of that, gave her a breathing treatment, and I had to meet Bryan at church to drop the girls off, so I could go to work. Wow what a weekend!!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6639491395024970605.post-44104849040868116422008-02-01T12:46:00.000-06:002008-02-01T13:05:20.384-06:00My first CVS trip

OK, I have been hearing all about it, and I finally decided to try it.

I printed all my coupons last night, went through the sales flyer, to see where to get my most EB's. I asked the cashier, if I could come back today, since coupons expire tomorrow, and she said I could go put my stuff in the car and come back in. I had the same coupons as above, plus my EB's and spent $145.00 and only paid $10.78, and came out with 29 more EB's, so basically I got $265.00 worth of stuff for FREE!!! No more, Monday, Thursday Practices, and Saturday games!!!! I may actually have some free time now. Today, I went to Franklin, KY with my mom, she wanted to go to the Wal-mart there to get some groceries..OK>>note to self, and everyone else..DO NOT GO ON SATURDAY!!! I haven't ever seen that many people in a Wal-mart, not even the day after Thanksgiving!!! It was truely insane. So I came home, to put the girls down for a nap, because for some reason they were up before the sun was this morning, and I knew that we had a Birthday party @ 5, and they wouldn't last if they didn't get a nap!! Speaking of birthdays, There are a lot of them in October and November, Last Saturday we had 3, yes I said 3 to go to, 11-1, 1:30-3:30 and 4-7:30. needless to say that day went by very quickly!!Well, I better go wake the girls, we have to be in Hendersonville at 5.. Until next time!!!
LisaUnknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6639491395024970605.post-57192921623071843372007-11-02T11:51:00.000-05:002007-11-02T12:00:17.007-05:00I am back after a very long breakCan I just say WOW, Our life has been so busy, we are finally slowing down a little. Well we went to Alabama during fall break to see Bryan's brother, and had a wonderful time. When we cam back we were in full speed ahead. Between School, extra Soccer games, we had to make up, Field Trips, Birthday parties, Halloween parties. We have been very busy. I will upload some pictures of Halloween later. Well only after a little over 9 weeks of Kindergarden, The teachers and principle have decided to extend the kindergardener's day to be a full day of school, they have adopted a literacy program, that they need extra time to work on, so as of Monday, Nov. 5th, Anita will be in school from 7:30am to 2:30pm, that is going to be a long day for her, but I think she will enjoy it. I have been very impressed with our school, I can not get over all of the work that they do in a day, and all the homework, we have to do on the weekends, but Anita is able to read beginner books now!! The girls are counting down the days till we leave for the BEACH!!! I have to say I am very excited myself!! I hope this finds everyone well, and I will write again soon, I promise!!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6639491395024970605.post-39771456500949824672007-10-09T15:34:00.000-05:002007-10-09T15:45:40.365-05:00FALL BREAK IS HEREWOW, it has only been 9 weeks since school has started, but I have already forgot what it was like to sleep in a little. Fall break is here and we are still getting up at the same time, as if we were going to school. Today has a little different, Reagan had to go to school, so it was just Anita and I. But Bryan gave gnash a rib bone from dinner last night, and I woke up to dog puke everywhere, and she has continued all day, and unfortunately every time I clean it up I get sick. This has never bothered me before, but today it is. She normally doesn't get table scraps, and she will not ever again. I now have her outside since the rain has stopped, and it doesn't seemed to matter if she runs off either. I am so over indoor animals, kids are hard enough. I was suppose to be cleaning out closets, but I haven't gotten there yet, Gnash has kept me busy. Well I thought I would update everyone, on my crazy day..Until tomorrow!!! Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6639491395024970605.post-74722743227535241972007-10-08T15:38:00.000-05:002007-10-08T15:56:49.076-05:00I AM BACK!!!

OK, My own brother, informed me, that I am falling behind on the blog, so here it goes, we had a very busy weekend!!

FRIDAY:

We did as little as possible, we are usually so worn out from the week, our Fridays are always boring!!

SATURDAY:

Reagan and I went to Anita's soccer game, where she score 3 out of the 7 goals!!! This has just really been a long week, I have been exhausted, and so have the girls. Maybe we can get caught up on some much needed rest this coming week. We have soccer practice tonight, if it doesn't rain, and a game on Saturday, but there is rain in the forecast for then as well. We are going to a close friends Birthday party Sunday, her daughter is turning 4, and she is turning her back yard into a carnival for the kids, so that will be Fun!! Anita just brought home, yet another fundraiser today, I was told this is the last one this year. They are looking for sponsors to do a "walk in the woods" so if anyone is interested in making a donation, let me know. You know they tell these kids, that if they participate, they can get all these prizes, which they get really excited about, but they do not tell them, there is a limited number, and that only the top 10 kids in the school will receive these prizes. So when I told Anita we probably wouldn't ask anyone, she got upset with me, because she wouldn't be getting any of the prizes. so I can either feel like I am begging our friends and family and get a few donations, or not participate, and be a mean mom. Oh well life goes on, she will realize that one day. Oh what fun peer pressure is!!!!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6639491395024970605.post-49697043498435186072007-10-03T21:09:00.000-05:002007-10-03T21:37:02.592-05:00Flu Shot SeasonWell, It is that time a year again to get the dreaded flu shot, I picked the girls up from school yesterday, and headed to Hendersonville. I knew better than to tell them where we were going, or I would be hearing nothing but screams, and cries all the way there, about not wanting a SHOT!! So as we pass our street, Anita says, "mom, where are we going?" And I said we are going to H'ville, then she wasn't satisfied with that, and says WHERE?, So I told her and of course she starts up her fake cry, and says NOOOOO. Then Reagan starts, no shot mommy, no shot. So we talk through it, and I get them calmed down, and told them if they did good, and were big girls we would get a sucker then they finished. Then they were excited, we get there, and they were still good, they call us back, and they go back happy, we get to the room, Anita starts crying, The nurse laid down the syringes to get me to sign the sheet, we look over and Reagan is holding them saying, "it doesn't hurt sissy, see", Well Anita was up first, and it wasn't pretty, It took both of us to hold her down, then it was Reagan's turn, she jumped up in my lap, and just cried for a second when the needle first went in, and was done. Anita, continued all the way to the van. So to calm her down, I told her we would go see daddy at work, if she stopped crying (because right now, mommy was the bad guy, so she was ready to see daddy). We get to the hotel and Reagan starts with the drama, she walked in holding her leg, like it was broken, and couldn't really walk on it, I so wished I had a video camera, Anita was then fine. So I just thought I would share with you the drama in my life. They keep me laughing, they are both such drama queens!!!!!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6639491395024970605.post-58452416064026024742007-10-02T10:24:00.000-05:002007-10-02T11:04:32.384-05:00It is October, Already!!Anita has Fall Break next week, and I think she is ready!! She is doing GREAT in school, but I think she is ready for a few day's of rest. Although Reagan, has school next Tuesday, but is off the following Tuesday(16th), which is really silly, they should try and correspond their times off, But that will give Anita and I and day to spend together "with no Reagan" as she says it. So we will have to come up with something special to do that day. We are going to Alabama that weekend as well, to see Bryan's brother Steve, we are all really excited, since he is now only about 3 hours away. The girls are counting down the days to go to the beach, Bryan says I have brain washed them, because that is all we heard Saturday, Anita, said " I can just smell it" Which we laughed, because she has never been to the beach to know what it smells like. Reagan is gathering up all her toys, and keeps repeating "I want to take this to the beach mommy." We have a very busy month, Anita has her first field trip to the Pumpkin patch on the 26th, and Reagan's school, will take them out to the field at the church to get their pumpkins on the 30th. I have a Mom's night out bonfire on the 11th, that I am really excited about. Our MOPS group is trying to have an outing once a month, "just for moms" so that we can fellowship with other moms, and have some adult conversations. Now all I need is a date with my husband, and my month will be complete!!! Until tomorrow (maybe, hopefully I can get to the computer) I hope everyone has a blessed day.

The Lord bless you, and keep you, The Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you. I took Reagan to the doctor because she wasn't feeling well, the Dr. said it was just her allergies, and gave her a new allergy medicine, and said to start back on the breathing treatments, as needed. The weather here was beautiful, so we had dinner out on the deck, and stayed outside till dark. Today, I got up and made breakfast, and started cleaning house, and then we went to Anita's soccer game at noon, she actually kicked the ball today, we were so proud!! Then my mom came and had lunch with us, and now we are getting ready to do Anita's homework assignment, she has to make a family tree. This should be fun!!! Well, I hope everyone has a great weekend, I can tell you know I will not be posting tomorrow. So until Monday, stay safe!!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6639491395024970605.post-24135590294932585822007-09-27T14:48:00.000-05:002007-09-27T14:58:18.000-05:00Only 1 more day till the Weekend!!I can not wait until Friday afternoon, we all actually can sleep in a Saturday!!! Yeah!! Well I went to pick Reagan up from school today, apparently, the terrible twos are finally here, she was constantly in trouble, for taking everything away from all her friends, and when we got home, she continued to torment her sister. Anita got a homework assignment today, we have to make a family tree over the weekend, including pictures, to be shown to the class on Monday, so we have our work cut out for the weekend. Bryan will be home all day Saturday with us, YEAH!!! The girls are always happy when daddy spends the entire day with them. We have a soccer game at noon, and have the rest of the day to do whatever we would like. Anita just informed me she was the "Weather Girl" today at school.. This is her week to be the Special Friend in her class, which means, she got to take her favorite book, toy and pictures of her family to school or the week. Well that is all for now, today has been very normal, nothing interesting to tell. Until tomorrow, Have a BLESSED day!!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6639491395024970605.post-71604636551703875132007-09-26T14:46:00.000-05:002007-09-26T19:40:04.902-05:00One of those days!!!!!!Have you ever wished someone would pinch you and you would wake up from the nightmare you are having? That is how I felt this morning, I wanted to lay back down and start all over again!!! Here is the recap:
we wake up only to struggle with both girls about getting ready for school and MOPS, Reagan was determined to not do anything this morning. We get ready and get everything together, load up the car, buckle everyone in , and go to turn the key, only to hear a CLICK. The battery was DEAD!!! So my first thought was to call Bryan and have him reassure me everything will be OK and to help me. Then I remembered Anita had to be at school in 5 minutes, so I get in touch with the neighbor that is backing out of her driveway to take her son to school, and ask her to take Anita with her. She was my first blessing this morning. So Anita is taken care of, Now what? Well you can't get to the battery with it in the garage, because I have to pull all the way up to the wall to fit in there and close the door. So I thought I had a bright idea, (which really turned out to be VERY STUPID). I put the van in Neutral with Reagan still strapped in, crawl to the front on the van, with my legs against the wall to push it out of the garage. ( to the naked eye, the driveway looks very flat), as the van starts to roll, it picks up speed (towards my neighbors house), I take off running, open the door, jump in to slam on the brake, and put the van in park, and then realize how stupid I was, Reagan and I both could have really gotten hurt. That was blessing #2. Then I call my dad's friend, who takes care of our vehicles, since dad has been gone, for him to instruct me on how to remove the battery cables, clean them to see if that was the problem, only to hear the familiar Click, when I turned over the key, so he confirmed to me it was the battery, and I needed to find someone to jump start it for me. So another neighbor walking down the sidewalk with his dog comes to my rescue. Blessing #3. I finally get the van started and start to make my way to the auto parts store to purchase a battery, as all the lights on the dash start flickering, and the gauges go crazy, and I pray for God to get us their safely. Blessing #4 We finally make it there, got the battery, and off we went to MOPS. Bryan showed up at the store, to offer help, which I felt bad about, because I didn't know he was coming. What a wonderful husband he is!!!!! So for the rest of the day, I have counted my blessings, and praised God for the beautiful day, and prayed that tomorrow is less hectic!! I hope everyone else has had a GREAT day!!
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6639491395024970605.post-76826413266320249542007-09-25T22:28:00.000-05:002007-09-25T22:41:43.662-05:00Hello all!! Lisa came up with this great idea to let you all know what is going on with our family and hopefully we'll start getting more frequent updates about all of you too.

As you all know, of course, I'm still a professional firefighter/emt. Been with the City of Hendersonville for almost 8 years now. Love the profession, hate the pay, that's why I've taken on a new second job at the Hyatt Place in Hendersonville. They work great around my fire dept. schedule and it's a fun group of people to work with every day.

Looks like our heat is finally going to break starting on Thursday. We're supposed to get some much needed rain tomorrow and Thursday and highs will finally back off into the mid 80's. Set more records yesterday and today for highs in the mid 90's. Been a long hot, miserable summer around here, we are well over 16 inches short of rainfall for the year, so any rain is good rain at this point.

Predictions are coming true in the sports arena already. The Vikings look like they have a rookie starting at QB (they do for those of you who are not football literate) with a couple of has beens backing him up. The Twins self imploded and are in danger of not keeping it above .500. The Titans are looking great, best run defense in the league and Vince Young under center have people around here thinking playoffs already, it's still early though. Hockey season is under way, the Predators are close to coming to terms with a local group to buy the team and keep them from moving, they've been impressive in the 4 preseaon games so far.

It's bed time, gotta be up early. From all of us in the TN Boyer household to all of you, welcome to our blog and God Bless. Love y'all, BryanUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6639491395024970605.post-38577095014623864602007-09-25T16:33:00.000-05:002007-09-25T16:51:01.312-05:00Welcome to our BlogI decided this would be a good way for everyone to know what is going on in our life, since everyone is so busy, and it is hard to just pick the phone up and call. I will try to post everyday, but i am not promissing anything, I am going to try and get Bryan to help. I hope everyone is doing well. We are just busy with school, church, MOPS and soccer. Anita has practice twice a week, and games on Saturday's. She is trying to adjust to the "going to school everyday" each morning she wakes up and says, "Do I have school today?" Reagan goes 2 days a week, so I have a little time to get things done, with out any kiddos. I have a prayer group I go to on Tuesdays, to pray over the kids, and Anita's school, and our family. It has really halped me to keep the focus!!!
Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus 1 Thess. 5: 16-18

Anita had her first subsitute teacher today, and didn't seem to care to much for it, she asked me if Mrs. Michelle would be back tomorrow, because she didn't want to go to school, if she wasn't there. I reassured her that everything would work out, and that hopefully her teacher would be back tomorrow, and if not, it would be OK.

We are planning a trip to Alabama in a few weeks to see Bryan's brother Steve and his wife Jeanette. They just recently moved there. Before that all of Bryan's family was at least 9 + hours away. We haven't seen any of his family in almost 2 years. We haven't been able to afford the trip up there ( it is very expensive with 2 little ones). Bryan is very excited to finally have family just a couple hours away, that we can take quick weekend trips to visit. (or even day trips)

We have also decided to go to the beach for Thanksgiving this year, we are going with my mom, my brother, his wife and their two boys. We are going to start making new traditions, Mom is ready for changes now.

Until next time.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1
